Born in France in 1967, Olivier Auriol showed a marked interest in music very early on, which led him to begin studying music at the age of thirteen. After graduating from Conservatoire d’Orsay, he moved to New York City when he was eighteen to continue his music studies at university. At that time, he also began honing his performance skills, playing with a variety of bands, ranging in style from jazz to rock, Brazilian to Latino.
In 1997, he moved to Québec City, Canada, and embarked on a new musical career, this time as a composer in the domain of audio postproduction. For the past 10 years, he has been composing music for a wide range of documentaries, short films, feature films, and cartoons. He is also very active in radio and television advertising.
