Né en France, Olivier Auriol démontre dès son jeune âge un intérêt marqué pour la musique, qui l’amène à entreprendre des études en musique à l’âge de 13 ans.
À 18 ans, après des études au conservatoire d’Orsay, il s’établit à New York et y poursuit des études universitaires en musique. Il en profite pour développer le volet scénique de la musique en offrant des représentations en public avec diverses formations, allant du trio jazz et du groupe rock à la musique brésilienne et latino.
En 1997, il s’installe dans la ville de Québec au Canada et entreprend une nouvelle carrière musicale, cette fois comme compositeur dans le domaine de la postproduction sonore. Il se consacre ainsi depuis les 10 dernières années à la composition de musique pour de nombreux documentaires, longs et courts métrages, thèmes d’émissions et dessins animés. Il est également très actif dans le domaine de la publicité radiophonique et télévisuelle.
